• Roman Catholic High School:  Our first project here consisted of interior renovations to the existing gymnasium and auditorium, including installation of a new HVAC system.  The second project was an interior retro fit of the main staircase including new stair treads, patching, and the finishing of ornate plaster walls and ceilings.  The next project involved interior finishes and improvements to the House Art Center, an entirely different building.  Another recent project with the school involved locker relocation and plastering, along with remodeling of the basement.  Roman Catholic’s existing architecture was classic, and it was important to us that our additions blended seamlessly and matched the rest of the beautifully constructed building.

  • Longport Borough: The project consisted of proposed Interior Renovations and Related Improvements at the Longport Municipal Hall. Columbus made it their goal to enhance the look of this building for residents who visit and its employees.

  • Media Youth Center: Columbus is providing interior upgrades to restroom facilities, lockers, concession facilities and other adjacent areas in order to better accommodate students. The changes will make the youth center a much more appealing and accommodating place for teens and children to go to.

  • Gotwal Elementary School: Columbus has been contracted by the Norristown School District for complete building renovations including new windows, doors, concrete, masonry, and HVAC systems. This upcoming work is critical in order to accommodate the district needs and the new school season.

  • Philadelphia Day Care: Columbus was able to work closely with the owner and architect of the space while performing Construction Management and General Construction.  Through complete interior and exterior finishes a brand new day care was built, complete with classrooms, a gymnasium, and all other necessities.  We were able to remodel the existing manufacturing site into a workable, accessible, and welcoming day care center to serve West Philadelphia families.

  • Philadelphia Health Department: Columbus has completed many projects with Philadelphia Health Department over time, and it remains an ongoing project.  The goal of each job is to accommodate lead abatement programs, which includes, but is not limited to, demolition, environmental monitoring and removal of lead, and new interior construction at various residential properties throughout the city.  When health problems in residences arise, Columbus is called upon to make the house safe and remove lead.

  • Dickinson Street Lot: Columbus is revamping the parking lot on the corner of 30th & Dickinson Street. This project will include modifying the driveways, reducing underground basin size, and eliminating basin manhole. As well as, clean out structures and replacing the water quality structure for this lot.

  • Blaine Street Lot: Columbus Construction is paving a new parking lot on Blaine Street and 2009 W. Hunting Park Avenue. We are giving this corner a cleaner look and surrounding the lot with fencing and landscaping. This lot expands parking for the Greater Philadelphia Health Action facility.
