GREATER PHILADELPHIA HEALTH ACTION

Greater Philadelphia Health Action, Inc. (GPHA) is a nonprofit health care network accredited by The Joint Commission for both ambulatory and behavioral health.  With eight service delivery sites strategically located to serve socio-economically and ethnically diverse groups reflective of Philadelphia’s demographics, GPHA targets populations that are medically underserved due to low income, ethnicity, language barriers, immigration status, homelessness and age-related vulnerability.

This was Columbus Construction’s first project with GPHA. Columbus did a complete renovation and interior fit out for new mental health and dental facility located at 55th and Woodland Avenue.  Through our renovations we were able to produce a modern and professional health care facility including a large, sunny lobby space, multiple dental rooms, and a large cafeteria, lockers, and changing area for staff.

Conversion of commercial bakery to a medical facility

This is Columbus Construction’s second project with GPHA. Columbus converted a 26,000 square foot CMU and light steel industrial building that housed an industrial bakery into a 52,000 square foot state of the art medical office building with administration offices on the 2nd floor.  The 2nd floor was gained by inserting a second floor into the existing tall, single story building.

This is Columbus’s third project with GPHA. Greater Philadelphia Health Action located in Chinatown had a complete interior fit out done by Columbus Construction. The non-profit organization now has an entire updated layout. These changes allow the location to provide comprehensive primary medical, dental, behavioral health, child development services, and pharmacy services. This facility has the capacity to serve over 25,000 residents of the community.
