Columbus built Chester County Firing Range for Public Safety Training Center from the ground up. This design consisted of a 12-lane indoor firing range with firing positions at 50 yards, and various shorter intervals. Additionally, the project provided two 100-yard firing lanes capable of supporting high power assault and sniper rifle fire. There are additional spaces within the building which include administrative offices, armory storage, fire line safety officer office, firearm cleaning stations, and training room. The building also features an area for the SWAT team and their armored tactical assault vehicles. The rear of the building provides a two-story tactical simulation/kill house where instructors can observe tactics utilized by personnel training.
